The Boy With a Bleeding Gum

Rohan, 12, came in with unexplained gum bleeding and bruises. His pediatrician initially suspected poor nutrition. But his CBC told another story—WBC count over 100,000 with blasts. A bone marrow biopsy confirmed acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

He underwent intensive chemotherapy. There were nights we weren’t sure he’d make it—but he did.

Today, he’s a first-year engineering student.
