Further questioning revealed joint pain and lower back stiffness. Labs pointed toward HLA-B27 positive seronegative spondyloarthropathy.
We co-managed with rheumatology, and her flares became manageable with systemic therapy.
Always differentiate between conjunctivitis and intraocular inflammation. The red eye can be a window into rheumatology.
